A Little about Convoy of Hope. By Leah Epley
I want thank you all for your prayer and support as I serve as a missionary associate with Convoy of Hope. As the day draws closer for me to move to Springfield Missouri, I have to admit I'm becoming a little sad knowing how much I'm going to miss my family, friends, church, and home town, but I'm very excited to see what God has in store. Convoy of Hope is an amazing organization.
Since Convoy of Hope, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1994 they have served more than 43 million people throughout the world through international children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing. In 16 years Convoy of Hope has helped more than 43 million people in more than 100 countries. In that time we have also given away more than $227 million worth of food and supplies to people in need.
There missions statement states: Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization with a driving passion to feed the world through children's feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response, and partner resourcing.
Please pray for Convoy of Hope as well as the people they serve. Check out their website at www.convoyofhope.org.

On April 27 a massive storm — that spawned dozens of deadly tornadoes devastated communities and claimed nearly 200 lives in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. Convoy of Hope has responded to this disaster as well as many others since 1998 where they distributed water, food, and other necessities in time of great need. I have the opportunity to serve as a missionary associate with Convoy of Hope in the Disaster Response department.
Six years ago God had His Hand on me and my parents as a tornado destroyed their home with the 3 of us inside. It was a time of great loss as well as thanksgiving that we were alive and able to share what God had done in our lives. I was touched by all the help and support we received from everyone. Since then I’ve wanted to help others who’ve faced similar devastation. I have a deep passion for compassion ministry and am so blessed to have this opportunity to serve with Convoy of Hope.
Please support me in prayer as I prepare to move to Springfield MI in the next few months and began serving with Convoy of Hope as a missionary associate. I’m stepping out in faith knowing I’m called and trusting God for prevision.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 Through out Hebrews 11, which is often called the Hall of Faith, we read about men and women who trusted God and through Him some awesome things were done. People such as Noah, Abraham, and Moses along with many more stepped out in Faith when I'm sure the world thought they were crazy. I mean who risk their reputation to warn people of God's wrath. Who would just pick up and leave their home, when they don't even know where they are going because God told them to. Who would leave the comforts of a good lifestyle and be regarded as a disgrace to fulfill God's purpose for their life. These men of faith did. We should do the same even when it doesn't make since. God is in control and has an amazing plan for our lives.
Please be in prayer for me as I step out in faith and walk through the door God has opened for me.
